1ers at NHMS?

I just finished my 2nd HPDE there and am liking HPDE more and more. Mine was the only 135 there, amongst the throngs of Miatas.

Who amongst us runs HPDEs? Would love to chat about your experience on track with the 1er at NHMS.

I haven't yet driven my 135i on the track. Too much real work this year! But I've been driving my previously owned cars at DE events since 2001 (my 2000 540i and 2006 Porsche Cayman S). I'm still hoping to get the 1-er out at NHMS before the end of the season. If so, maybe we'll see each other there. I'm still a member of the Porsche club as well as BMW, so I'm looking at events from both clubs for September and October.

i hear you on the real work thing. i had a nice steady, smooth, no travel Jan - June, then July - Sept are 80% travel preventing me from doing much of anything autox/hpde this year.

hopefully you get out there with either or both clubs. I could do the BMW event, and i just qualified for my COM solo license, so i will be looking at the COM and possibly SCDA.

I'd like to get at least one more before the end of the season.

What's it like driving a Cayman out on NHMS? there're some technical sections that would take me a while to get comfortable with in a mid-engine.
