1M Brake lines

Has anyone considered fitting the M3 / 1M brake lines (genuine BMW ones) as an upgrade for the 135i?

FRONT: 34302283033
REAR: 34322283034

I wonder if there are any differences in mounting hardware or the routing that could cause compatibility issues.

The middle brake lines on the 1M and 135i seem to use the same part number, so I guess they are the standard rubber ones as used on the 135i.

Is the connection at the caliper the same?
I guess it could be done if the connections are the same, but they would be made of the same materials as the standard 135i lines, maybe alittle longer (wider front track). .

Probably just a little longer because of the wider track.

I don't actually know they are an upgrade. I would expect they are made to perform better at high temperatures.
Just as BMW a use floating rotor design on the M3 for reliability at high temperature, wouldn't it be logical to specify brake lines that are capable of the same performance?

Sure, but being capable of that doesn't automatically mean they're better than what we have right now. I for one wouldn't be surprised if they are the exact same construction as you have on the car right now.

I'm just saying they may not be any better and you'll waste money and time for no reason at all. I'd suggest finding out if they are indeed different, why, and go from there. And since it seems that M3 and 1M owners go to stainless lines, maybe that's really the better path to begin with.

Good point. The first part of your logic makes perfect sense. I am not saying your wrong about stainless steel lines, but some of the M3 owners you mention may not have had an actual issue with the OE lines in the first place. It shouldn't be too hard to find out because many M3s are tracked quite heavily. Probably the question should be asked to M3 owners.
