Great to hear...thanks for sharing. My previous cars were all AWD, looking forward to heading to the slopes in the 1er and defying the pessimistic onlookers.
Definitely need to get a feel for the car first though. I've driven two x-drive 3ers in the snow with summer rubber...but RWD with snows still requires another dimension of skill. |

Let me know how it goes. It was just raining when I was taken to the airport before the sun came up today. I'll be getting snows next weekend when I get home, but who knows what the weather will be.

it was getting pretty icy when i left work tonight (worcester). All of the water beads on the car had frozen.
No problems to speak of...gina handled it like a champ

my 135 is running 225/17 general branded winter tires and km11s.
it's been snow and slush here in edmonton for the last two weeks. car handles great in the snow. empty streets are a blast with nannies turned off. car is very predictable and dunno if it's the edif but even with nannies off, the car always wants to straighten itself out when in a drift and letting off gas. off course that can be defeated with more throttle. the only shitty thing is with all the snow, you're never driving or accelerating at anymore than 20% of the car's capabilities in the dry. and my poor car is soooo dirty. |
