And so my agonizing wait begins...

Ordered my Le Mans Blue 135is on July 15, finally showed up as in production on the site. Delivery is early October at the performance center in Greenville. I think the wait is going to kill me.

I'm also starting to have nightmares about wrecking it. Or scratching it. Or other people breathing on it... lol.

congrats, man. i ordered mine on July 22......so i FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!! lol.

Production on my car started yesterday...but i was told early September as my likely pick-up date....so you have a 1+ month delay for going to the Performance Center to pick it up? weird! For me, it's only been a week and a half and i'm already freaking out. lol.

Lucky! Maybe the time lag is because the ship docks in NY? I don't see why it would take a month to stick that sucker on a train to get it down to SC though. October 3 is the date that the performance center gave my dealer - maybe a lot of people are taking delivery there between now and October too.

I'm also concerned about driving it back from SC to Atlanta as far as break-in and road nicks. Still trying to get my sales guy to see if they can put the clear protective film on the front up there.

Congrats! I know what you mean. I ordered a 128i a day before you ordered your car and mine still hasn't entered production yet . First thing I do every morning is check the production status. Not sure how often cars come shipped scratched up but hope your's come in perfect condition.

Nice build, and welcome to the waiting game. I ordered 6/12 and it just got to Baltimore yesterday. With any luck, I'll maybe get it by 8/16, or 9 weeks order to delivery

Black with Blue stitching is by far the most popular interior on the "is" - our last count has it at 244 of 535 total cars for almost 46%.

Black leather is 2nd with 99, Coral is 3rd at 87 cars for just over 16%

I ordered mine June 6th and it will be here in a few days. The last week of waiting is the worst. I got the DCT though.

So many lemans blues of late on the IS's!

I hear you about worrying about people breathing on it. I got irate this morning when after being behind a guy on surface streets for 2-3 minutes, he decides, I'm going to clean my windshield, spraying my car behind him as we went. I hate when people do that! So, I held up the bird for the remaining 3 blocks of my journey behind him.

People are jerks. Protect your IS!!!! In 2 months when you get it.

Also, I think you get longer delays when you do PDC delivery not because it takes that much longer to get the car there, but because they can only do a limited number of deliveries per day there.

I'm sure it will be immaculate on delivery. I'm just worried about driving down interstate 85 back to Atlanta. I'm sure there will be some semi truck kicking up rocks the whole way!

I'm pretty sure you're right about the PDC delay. Worth it. (hopefully)

There are alot of fabulous twisties in Northern GA and southern NC, how about a "scenic" route back to the ATL?

The Cherohala Skyway and the TOD aren't that far off your path home - you might not be able to rev it high due to the break in period, but you're allowed to take fast corners!

I ordered my 135is on July 14th and it is still "scheduled for production with no production date set". I wonder why...

worra,

It did the same thing for me. some times it doesn't update if you use the production order. try putting in your VIN #.

or call the 1800 number.

I never got a VIN when I placed the order. Would my CA have it yet if the car hasn't reached production?

You don't get a vin until they actually build the car. On average though it's about 2 weeks from order to start of production and I know from my experience, I kept expecting the lady on the phone to give me a scheduled date well before production began, but don't think it does anymore. So, it'll flip one morning to just, your vehicle is in production with an estimated completion date of _____.

So, don't be worried that she doesn't give you an expected or scheduled production date. Your sales person should also know the estimated week # of the build.

Finally! Vehicle is in production with an estimated completion date of 8/13. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of Sept.
