Leatherette with Power Seats

This is going to sound like a pretty "blond" question but here it goes...
Do you get a different type of leatherette with power seats because analyze these two pics below. It seems like the first one (Power Seats) has stitching or something and the second one(Manual Seats) doesn't.

Thanks!!

GOOD question. I still haven't seen the leatherette in person, but the leather looks so much better due to the stitching. The leatherette look too smooth, like its sprayed on vinyl. I know nothing.

Top one is leather, since it has the middle stitching on the bottom bolsters.

Thats wierd. But it is a 328 seat. My brothers 325i sedan e90 with power ette seats are the same as the non power seats you posted.

It's weird...because the lack of stitching on the door panel would indicate 'ette but the stitching on the seat looks like leather. IDK I'm stumped!

I was wondering the same thing. On the E90 coupe, the leatherette has no bolster stitching. The E92 coupe, however, has the stitching on both leather and leatherette, which looks great.

It *appears* the 1 series 'ette lacks the stitching, but as the OP mentioned, maybe that's only for the manual seats? My inner-obsessive-compulsive needs to know what's going on here... :-)

E90 (sedan) power ette seats

E90 power leather seats. Look carefully you see the stitching.

e92 (coupe) leather seats

I cant find a pic of a coupe with not leather. But IIRC the coupe ette seats have no bolster stiching also.

So i think that if you have leather seats you get the bolster stitching. If you get ette seats weather you get power or no power you do not get the stitching.

motorsports_3: I thought the same thing, but I went to the dealership and they had both E90 and E92s with the 'ette. The E92 did have the bolster stitching.

Don't ask me why BMW makes this so bloody confusing.
