Photos of convertible from Detroit

from some guy on bimmerpost

Some highlights include a well received 1-series convertible. All of us felt the 1-series looked best in the drop top version and the front seating felt very similar to our 3-series. I hopped into the back seat of the 1-series coupe and to be honest it wasn't all that bad, not much worse than my 3-series convertible.

Also the 1-series convertible had the high gloss black trim many of us 3-series owners want, how about BMW adding it to the US options?

Thanks Galligan. That top pic might be the X6 though. At least it looks like the X6. The suede interior on that car stores assprints, apparently.

I think the convertible trunk pic doesn't adequately convey how tiny the trunk capacity is with the top down. I can't imagine fitting anything much thicker than a briefcase in there.

Here is the trunk loaded with my gear bag. It's about a foot thick when full. Fits fine under the tray. I would say you can probably get a pair of carry-on size bags under there, plus a couple of larger duffles behind them.
