thank you those pics. very helpful. Can you just get the Y pipe from BMW? I have a berk street already, I'd like a little more oomph and this might be the way to do it. This is for an N55

i also kind of thought that the IS came with the PE. when you compare pictures of the rear to that of the regular I, the IS has what appears to be larger pipes that look very similar to the PE pipes. the I has the standard black tips attached and looks a lot smaller in diameter. compare the rears and maybe someone can confirm this. maybe its just the axle back of the PE thats there and not the res-delete.
That is with no resonator. Just 3.5 catless DP to the stock n55 mids with the stock resonator cut out and the BMW performance y pipe installed to the BMW performance muffler.

When I go to the track I have this set up and love it. But when daily driving it I reinstall the stock rear midpipe resonator. Has the same sound just not as loud. Every once in awhile I switch it out for a week or two just to change things up a bit. Takes about 10 minutes the switch the y-pipe and resonator out.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but you asked the same question I have.

Is there a part number for just the BMW y-pipe?

I have the berk street and looking for just a bit more volume.
