I'll call the dealer later today. I updated my stats. Thanks for the reminder. I've been busy enjoying the car.

Maybe you can just go to the dealership and say that it just disappeared while you were driving and they could replace it.

BTW, any of you Boston people know a good tinting shop closer to the newton/waltham/watertown area? Thanks.
Sadly, I have yet to use them.

This is sort of stupid...

Couple of important questions:

1: Is the actual nozzle, motors and plumbing still on the vehicle?

2: Is there damage around the hole in the bumper like someone took a knife to pry the nozzle out of it's hole?

3: The missing parts- do they show signs of having been torn out? Or does it look more like a bit snapped off? Or does it look like there is simply a part missing?

Nobody is going to swipe the headlamp washer off of a brand new model BMW because there is absolutely nowhere they could move something like that to make any money off of it.

I am more willing to bet that there is a painted cover and that said painted cover just fell off in the airflow because it wasn't fastened on all the way at the factory. I'll bet if you look in the hole, you'll see the nozzle, motors and plumbing still in there.

ZenDriver,
I wish your assumptions were true. There is a scratch under where the cover for the nozzle would be located. I can easily tell since my car is noticeably dirty having not washed it in a week. I did look into the hole, and there definately is something missing. I think it is just the nozzle that is missing. I'll post pics tonight.

look on ebay, you may find it there in a week or so. that's very common. however, you won't be able to tell if it's yours or not. you can guess by the area though...

As bad as this looks it could be worse....my friend just bought a brand new Dodge dorango. The other night he went to a local concert, when he got back, he noticed that someone had pryed off all of the Dodge badges (hood, tail gate, wheels, and anywhere else there was a badge) off with a knife! if i saw someone prying off th BMW badge off the hood of my car there woud be hell to pay!!!!!!

Like someone else pointed out, I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that someone stole it just yet... Not saying that it wasn't actually stolen, but perhaps it was installed incorrectly and was "ejected..."

Doesn't surprise me. Have had my 50 cent Pep Boys Ford Explorer valve stem caps stolen, and my g/f's Honda CRV Jack-in-the-Box Antenna Ball heads stolen 3 times.
