New intercooler info for 135i e82 n55

Hi people,
I have a few questions about IC before i get one. engine has PPK mod and i was looking for IC to get more constant power. Stepped intercoolers are going a little bit over the radiator if I am not wrong, is that acceptable or not efficient or something else? Will wagner perf evo 1 make a lot of turbo lag because of bigger volume? How about non stepped ic like forge or BMS, will tht be enough with 20/30% more volumen?

Surface area is everything - You'll want a stepped core. What are your goals?

Agree, stepped is the way to go. I run the Wagner EVO 1 and did not notice any additional lag over the stock IC.
