Some of these, such as MP3 capabilities, are probably hardware specific.

I have Professional Nav. RDS didn't work before CIP 19.01, nor does it work now after the update.

I think some where along the line we got mixed up. We should try to be very specific about these technical info and state whether they are country specific, iDrive specific, 325 vs 330 specific. Otherwise we are running in circle. I feel everyone pain at this point. I got no RDS, no DRL, no drive away door lock, and I took delivery of my 330i without Prof NAV on May 05.

You can have your dealer switch on DRL and driveaway locking, but you wont be able to set it yourself

I have prof. nav, took delivery on 28th of Sep (no cip19 because the car took a month to ship)
I have RDS, driveaway door lock (programable on idrive), no mp3, and DRL is on the idrive, but I can't get it to work? do you have to leave the light switch on auto in order to allow DRL?

until now, I am not very sure when DRL is suppose to be on? by definetion it should be on whenever engine is on?

and idrive and have no problems. but with the new update 19.1 i have no RDS
When i get and update on that problem i will let everyone know......

On E90 vehicles produced 9/2005 and later, it is no longer necessary to set
Personal Profile features using "Retrofits". All Personal Profile functions
can now be set on the vehicle using either the CID or Instrument Cluster.
Refer to the Owner's Manual for complete details.

Note: On vehicles produced before 9/2005, it is not possible to activate
this functionality by programming or parts replacement.

Tape, I thank you for providing that info. I am very sure it would be very useful for many of us pre sept to give that info to our dealer. These are the type of info we could use here in the forum. From my experience with this e90, sometime you really have to spell it out for the SA.

Have you heard anything about activing the blinking clown nose for e90 without alarm?

ETK wont show things like that

They want the LED to blink eventhough they dont have the alarm fitted.

One would have to look on the SSS or GT1 if there is a path to activate it, and while there look for a path to activate RDS in USA cars with CIP19.1

I agreed, without them both, I would have given up with this already. I wish I could understand their "inside" language .

I got a call from my dealer today about the red blinking clown nose and they said that they can't make it blink without the alarm. They were able to bypass it before, but not with the new system.

Hm, Is this a US and Europe thing

I always had RDS on my iDrive and I have big problems with it and want to turn it of but I can't do it.

The radio goes mad and starts jumping between 105,5 and 100,8 which is the same station but in 2 diffrent cities. But they doesn't always broadcast the same thing so I go mad listening 1 sec on the first and then 1 sec on the other and then 1 se con the first and........

What is DRL?

Is the Professional Nav the one that shows the map?
