Did you go to the taping? Any clues?

I suppose they use it to push big balls around a field or something equally stupid? Why are these guys persisting with the charada?

No I didn't go. On caradvice.com.au they mentioned the 135 will be reviewed.

I’m trying my hardest to like the show but....I hoping over time they will find their feet and the show will start to be enjoyable (as much as the english version).

They already did the whole cars with the balls on the English version. It would be good if they wouldn’t just rehash the TG ideas. I understand they have a winning formula with the original but some originality would be refreshing.

Those guys are so ruff on the cars, every show they have banged up just about every car they have reviewed, makes you wonder about their driving skills. And tonight, every time a car went down the ramp it just about ripped/smashed the bumper off the car.

They better give the 135 a good review otherwise I'm gonna boycott the show.

Agree oneill3. I hate the way these guys have treated their vehicles so far. The handling of 6 new Astra's on tonights episode was horrible, every car was damaged and will no doubt end up as somebody's pride and joy.

I am trying to like this but my patience is running thin, I still squirm in pain at the terrible one liners...

Thankfully the new series of 5th Gear has just started on Foxtel (Lifestyle) and leaves TGA for dead.

You reckon? I can't stand 5th Gear. It's bloody aweful.

I don't mind 5th gear, especially vikki butler henderson . I like the fact that they were/are proper race car drivers.

I watch Top Gear (english version) for the entertainment value.

Isn't Steve Pizatti a proper race car driver?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Pizzati

To my eye, he seems to be much more capable behind the wheel than Clarkson, Hammond and May. I haven't seen a lot of 5th Gear (didn't like what I saw), but suspect Pizatti has comparable driving ability to Tiff and co.

Yeh that treatment of the astras was hard to watch. I don't find senseless damage to brand new cars all the funny.

I reckon 5th gear is far better. Just drive the cars fast and give me a review. I don't care how close it can get to an inflatable white ball.

The Tiff/Plato comparos are great viewing.

Agree, every time is see cars been damaged, is just a bad feeling, that the car is very soon going to be someone elses "pride and joy". Hopefully the show gets better and they stop damaging new cars.

I thought the last series of Fifth Gear which is possibly the one you are about to get in Oz was a huge improvement. The new presenter (whose name escapes me...) works well with Tom Ford and they have done well to improve the format without copying TopGear. And as mentioned above, decent informative, entertaining car reviews.

I thought the Fifth Gear comparo between the 135i and Cayman was decent (it's readily available on youtube).

Still, Top Gear UK for the win though.
