HPFP 100k warranty
yes I Know
I'm 2011 N55 and mine was replaced at 22k right before I bought the car. I have a good friend (AUDI A4 guy) who is looking at some 09-10 N54 cars and he asked me about the HPFP issues. SO IS BMW STILL COVERING HPFP REPLACEMENT UNDER WARRANTY FOR 100k? Just N54 or all 3.0 Turbo engines?

Thanks
Thanks Dack!
Looks like he would be covered with the 09-10's he looking at. Does make me wonder though with my 2011 N55 already having one replaced at 22k, hope I dont ever need to find out since I plan to drive this car for a long time. Seems common for N55 as well.

When you have a part replaced under warranty, even if it was done on the last day of your warranty coverage... that part is still covered by a two year unlimited mile (parts) warranty. AND if a dealer did the work... the labor is also free IF that part fails again in less than two years time.

I have an 08 135i with a failing HPFP. The HPFP was replaced once in 2011 and the dealer is refusing to replace it again. They keep telling me there is not extended warranty on the part and that it is not covered past the original warranty. I have showed them these threads and the announcement but since its not "in the computer, direct from BMW NA, and in there as an extended warranty" they are trying to make me pay out of pocket for it. Whats the deal with this? Someone please help me out here...

I also have a very bad turbo rattle but because "the wastegates are still within spec" they wont replace those either. current mileage is 65k, 08 135i. thanks.

Go to another dealer ASAP. And contact BMWNA about the NEGLECT that dealer is showing to their quality customers.
Good luck

I just bought my 2010 I have 53,000 miles... Can I get this replaced now so I won't have to worry in the future? I won't have to spend out of my pocket correct?

symtoms of failing HPFP, N55
I have a 2011 N55, 28k miles... anyone know the symptoms of a failing HPFP?
There's a decent difference in acceleration with a full tank of 93 octane vs let's say a quarter tank or even half tank. Is this normal? Thanks for any help! |
