CTS Intercooler install question

I removed stock intercooler n55 135 easily. CTS intercooler is thicker, by a few inches. How much plastic did you guys have to cut off the plastic behind the front bumper, and or how much of the plastic connected to the electric fan shroud did you trim? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

On my n54 I trimmed until the shit fit. A good half inch between the two. I recommend using a grinder instead of a saw.

I actually just installed this IC over xmas. You're gonna have to cut out all the shit that's in front of the fan.

Here it is without the old IC out, all that plastic will have to go.

One other suggestion is, to get new bolts, nuts and washers to mount it. It doesn't come with new ones, and the screw stock one is too weak. The IC is far too heavy for it. I drilled through the plastic mounting part where the old screw went, and put a bolt there with a washer and a nut. Now its nice and tight.
