I've had quite a few cars during my lifetime. More recently, a 2004 330i, 2005 Audi S4 and my favorite, the 1999 Techno Violet on Mulberry E36 M3.

2011 335iX M-sport, sold directly before getting the 1. I thought I'd like it more than I did, but coming from the m5 it didn't do it for me. The x-drive suspension was horrible. Prior to that I had these two: a '99 m3 vert TiAg over Dove and an '03 e39 M5 Sterling over Carmel. I've been a BMW guy most of my life. Prior to the m5, there was an e39 540iT, another e36 M3c, 2 e46s, and an e36 325is Current fleet is the e88, an e61 and an e46 wagon. |

My prior car was a 2008 Mini Cooper S hardtop. Lightning Blue. First car I have ever ordered and hand-picked the options on. I still have a 2007 Honda Pilot as my primary/winter driver.
That Mini was a boatload of fun but those Prince engines are, in a word, terrible. I traded it in for my wife's outback before the engine grenaded on me which I could hear it wanting to do with the death rattle from the timing chain tensioner. Additionally, after the fun factor of the Mini wore off, it was a pretty small car that had a lot of annoying little issues and a dealership that was far, far away. Had it been a "weekend" car I'd probably still have it but the Outback has been FAR better of a vehicle for the family. To be fair, adding in the 135i vert has been a FAR better vehicle for ME. |

I bought it in somewhat rough condition and did extensive refreshing of nearly everything. Suspension, cooling system, clutch & transmission, etc. Then it got sandwiched between 2 cars. The repair was excellent and it actually looked better than when I first purchased it, but the incident bothered me and it left a mark on the title. Then the head gasket developed a leak. I toyed with the idea of doing an S54 swap, but ultimately the car was had already turned into too much of a project. It had 159,000 miles and I couldn't keep up with all of the little things that were falling apart. Long story short, every other one of my cars had turned into an ongoing project. I wanted a 135i for nearly 4 years now had test driven several but never bit the bullet. Financially speaking, I should have made the decision 2 years back when I wrecked my '04 330i, but you live and learn. I wouldn't trade the time I had with the M3 for anything, and she introduced me to some awesome friends. So my full list of cool cars is as follows: '96 Jeep Cherokee Former Forest Service with 39k miles at purchase. '86 535i, total piece of junk '88 535i with is stuff added '02 330i '04 330i - Refreshed everything, Eibach suspension w/ Bilstein dampers. Autocrossed it several times '05 S4 with original carbon fiber trim, 6 speed manual and immaculate black Recaro interior. Needed a new engine, AoA got the bill. ’99 M3 |

I sold it to a tech at a BMW dealer in the Bay Area. He fixed the head gasket within a week and installed the ultra rare cloth interior. It's in great hands and I have zero regrets. I like owning a modern car. |

Had a couple cars, a '10 Evo X and a '94 Subaru WRX. I do miss the Evo sometimes still, it was a very capable car and fun to drive. However, the problems that came with it were forcing me to sell it.

Last/current car is a 2010 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab V-8. Will run with most stuff which does surprise a lot of people.
One that it will not run with is the 2008 135i 6MT convertible i bought last week as a toy. Car has 50,000 mi and is in beautiful physical shape. One of the previous owners installed Dinan Stage 3 software (and the required accessories). This thing will accelerate. This is fourth BMW i have owned. Last one was a '87 535is. That was a nice car, but compared to today's vehicles, woefully underpowered. |

2009 volvo c30 with the euro spec ford turbo setup and custom mag adjust suspension kit.
Edit: around 300 whp with tune... suffered from the dreaded torque steer... and since it was blessed by ford it got worse gas mileage than my 135... for a 2.5l turbo it was incredibly thirsty (12-15 mpg) if i drove hard. worst i have seen on a tank driving just as hard with the 135 14.1mpg usually around the 18mpg in town mark though. Wish I had it today, but I moved on after a couple years. Was living in Miami. had Active Autowerk do a lot to it when they were big locally, but not nationally
A real M-engine: Love my 135i though. Alpine white is the only color I want |

White over tan E30 M3?
My high school dream car. Can only imagine how much that would go for now... Enjoy the 1er!
