HELP Blackline taillights
Hi All,
I think my black line tail lights are not working the way they should. And the bars are not lighting up! I bought my car with these taillights already installed. What should I be looking for and how do I get them to work? |

Do you have an OBD2 scanner? Are the running lights coming on? Can you get someone to push the brake while checking to see if the lights come on? |

The more I look into this the more it looks like they are the Low versions which don't light up. |

Probably the best one. Carly is also really good for coding and basic scanning. If you don't have an annoying light and sound come up in your car when you turn it on, it's not burnt out. Do you have your light switch on auto or on all the time? |

To add to this, the Xenon LCI Tails can be fitted to Halogen equipped models with a minor wire jumper to activate the LED strips. The Halogen specific tail lights simply don’t have the LEDs wired

Edit: To further clarify all N55's should come equipped with the light module FRM3 Quote:

When i bought my blackline lights i did receive an additional adapting harness. 61-12-2-219-698 but i have xenon lights and did not need them. Perhaps these are what you'll need to make them work.

you can use the license plate bulb. most popular there's also pin swapping when my guy did the headlights, that's what caused the flickering to happen with my original headlights causing me to have to get a new FRM as i mentioned in my message. He ended up doing this the correct way, fabricating a harness and using BMW wiring diagrams to line this to my FRM. Saw all the pictures he took of it before, during, and after and it is quite the job indeed. I get all the lights at full brightness/voltage opposed to tapping it from another bulb and getting diminished output. coming from both halogen headlights and tails was worth it in the end. no questions there.
