ED and PD?

Two questions...

Is it possible to do ED (Euro Delivery) and PD (Performance Delivery)?

and

Does PD save the consumer the destination charge? The car doesnt get trucked across the country, so I would hope so...

Thanks!

You can do ED then have redelivery at the Performance Center. You still pay $775 for delivery charges, which covers shipping from Germany (or wherever you choose to drop the car off in Europe). Remember that ED also includes registration and insurance for the car (for up to two weeks).

I was told it was ed or pd. If we can do both that would be great. But would you still get the Euro delivery price?

I was reading about some of this into the wee hours of the morning today and I believe you can have ED and drop off in South Carolina for the PD school. You will have to pay the $755 del charge from Europe any dealer in the US or PD. You will be responsible for shipping or driving home once you are done with the PD school.
The best person to ask abt this subject would be Irv at www.edbmw.com

I was also thinking wouldnt it be awesome to get a bunch of guys from NA to time their ED to a certain week in the spring or so and we'll have 1 series tour of europe together. Like a club ride or something!

You still get the ED price, but you're responsible for getting the car home from SC. I know somebody who does this fairly routinely.

Thanks for all of the input...

I was mistaken, I thought the "destination" fee was for trucking the car to wherever from the port. So if the "destination" charge is for bringing the car accross the pond, are the cars that are built here free from a destination charge?

I'd still like to do both if possible. I was trying to spend that cash on another trip/experience...
