The golf is front wheel drive only, which means it always struggles to get the power down from a start. - regardless what gearbox it has.

The DSG is a suberb box. A bit boring but impressive in technology.

In Europe, they feature a launch control like in the M5 SMG. So from an aggressive start, the engine will pre-rev before unloading torque to the box.

I ll take a turbo anyday

the 335i will be the best 3 ever

My only complaint about our engine is not enough torque at low rev

i can tell 4 sure that the Gti will win, its lighter, has turbo and most of all, has DSG.
its true that its front-wheel drive, but thats 1 thing against all other featueres above, im not sure, but from 0 mile/h, the Gti will jumps infront of a 325, i drove that car, if u put ur foot on the peddale, ur head sticks to the headrest!!!!

both cars have launching techniques, n the Gti's is much more usefull (more complicated than the step.)

hold your brake, while at the same time rev your engine to the optimum rpm (fellow member agent said it's around 1800rpm? not sure, search for it), then release your brake.
I wouldn't dream of doing this to my car, but if you want, try it

Exactly, they have to give it a turbo just to pass on the highway. Smaller cars feels like they are going fast when in fact not really at all. Seen one up close and they are smaller with just 2 doors.

Yet another thread mutated and gone horribly horribly wrong. Can we start a new category called kindergarten where threads like these can go?
