Car inspection question

Hello all,

It's time to get my car inspected. I drive an 09 135i with a JB4 tune and the majority of mods. Please remind me how long do I need to drive it with map 0 before going to get it inspected.

Thanks,
b

I do know that spark plug changes start happening every like 20k mi or so, instead of 45k.

Edit: that's not what you meant LOL glad FL doesn't have inspections

I assume you need to get your sensors in a ready state... here is a link to readiness procedure. I'm catless running MHD tune. I installed downpipe fix and I had to do this when I flashed back to stock to pass inspection.

Are you able to use a spark plug defouler? I did this with my Mustang and essentially it moves the O2 sensor further away from the he exhaust so it senses less C2O.

I took it today for an inspection & had no issues. I switched it back to map 0 a few days back. For some reason last year it took me several times going back & forth from the inspection station before it would pass. They just kept telling me to go drive it more miles. Back to map 5 all is good. Thanks everyone!!!

Yep, the past few times I've had to get my catless N54 vehicles inspected in NC, I've been able to just switch to map 0 and as long as the CEL wasn't present, had no issues passing.
