zeeth2800's SGM E82
Hey fellow 1ers!
First off I have to say that this forum rocks! I keep on typing questions into google and it directs me to this site 9/10! After saying that, it goes without saying that I am a total E82 NEWB! I have been around BMWs since 2008 and have owned several different chassis and engine combos including a N54 335. (So no, I wont ask about fuel pumps, injectors, rattling turbos, etc) I first drove a 135i back in 2008 shortly after buying my first BMW (a 325is E36). I was so in love but knew that they were way out of reach for a 18 year old. Since then I have owned several E30s, E36s, E46, E90, E53, and finally now a E82! I bought this car because I wanted a pure BMW. In my garage hides a E30 M3 so I have a fairly high standard in terms of driving pleasure. The 335 always felt a bit big to me. After searching and saving for ages I came across a one owner SGM 6 speed coupe with a clean title! I was so excited. 9 hours of driving later and it was in my driveway and I was a happy camper! I know that I will have to tackle the oil filter housing gasket and more importantly seal up the headlights from building up condensation (suggestions welcome . After that is done I will be ordering the goodies! Cobb, VSFR and tial come to mind. Onto the only pic I have so far! oh and just incase ya'll are interested!

Nope, I had a plastic bumper 325i and a couple 325es. They are such a blast to drive! The recent release of "Respect your elders" has really boomed the market in the PNW.

After that is out of the way, it will be time for an accessport, set of downpipes, DCIs, intercooler, chargepipe/bov, and exhaust.

I was actually thinking of just doing a H&R Sport/Bilstien setup. The E30 is my handling monster. For this car a simple drop will just help round out the appearance.
Thanks so much! I am seriously enjoying it!

That e30 M3, so so so so much love!!!! Gosh.
I think we need a lot more pics chap. As for mods on the 135i, pretty much anything yields favourable results, be it performance or styling, very hard to go wrong. Keep us posted! |

You cannot go wrong with a Bilstein + H6R set ... IMO I would take the Eibach Pro kit wich will lower more correctly the car (front too much and rear too high with the H&R) ! If it's for the street for sure. For tracking the 135i, you should go another route

Holy crap I just realized I haven't updated this in ages!
Well after running the Cobb 2+ map I decided I wanted something a bit more aggressive. I got in contact with Ken @ wedge performance and he hooked me up with his pump gas map. They were super helpful and got my car dialed in 110%. A few months go by and I start seeing some smoking from the turbos and the wastegate rattle is getting to a point where adjustments won't make a difference. I know I need new turbos so I begin the search for a solution. I debate between RBs and Vargas stage 2s for quite sometime before I realize that I need to suck it up and go with a single turbo setup. I picked up a 335i that needed a motor and when that car sells I will be sending the 135i in for a AD single turbo setup (hopefully at the end of August). Anyways, as the car sits it is still a blast and put down 371whp and 410ft-lbs on a heart breaker dyno. I'll update again once I am single

Those numbers are quite impressive. The torque must really stick you into the seat when you push the go pedal As for single turbo, the only setup I'd go for is a BorgWarner EFR w/divided manifold for twin-scroll, lag-free goodness. Just my two cents.

I will likely be upgrading later but the 6262 will get me going and should set me around 520-550 on pump. I'll keep you guys posted on my initial thoughts! No exhaust clips yet but I will get some before removing it. I am going to be redoing the whole system because of a single DP and I want quad tips.

I did install a BMS catch can and a RB PCV valve today.
Both products are 10/10. Fitment was flawless and install was a breeze Spec 2+ clutch and SMFW are sitting on my floor waiting for the single turbo
