Finance Rates?

In the course of placing orders, has anyone heard anything regarding finance rates regarding the 135i?

BMW has some pretty good rates posted for other cars on their website, but I'm assuming those won't before offered on this "highly exclusive" car.

w/ the current financing offers (expiring 1/31/2008), there is a 2% spread between high and low rates. the 335 coupe is at 4.9, right in the middle. i think it's therefore reasonable to assume that the 135 finance rate will fall between 4.9 and 5.9 (the highest rate shown). having said that, who knows what will happen to interest rates in the next few months. there are lots of factors at play, especially considering that we're in an election year.

looking at non-bmw alternatives, the best rate that i've seen (of course assuming excellent credit and surprisingly the same for 12-72 month terms) is 4.99 from pentagon fcu.

if anyone knows of a better rate, please post it.

also, keep in mind that just because bmw advertises a certain rate, that it doesn't mean that that's what you have to take. two years ago when i bought my wife's rx330, i pitted lexus against a local credit union that i belong to. lexus actually earned my business, beating my cu, and offering me a lower rate than they advertised. so, don't forget to ask/negotiate. it never hurts!

Unfortunately, the one major drawback with a ED car is that you need to get locked in months in advance so you lose a lot of negotiating abilities.

Score driven results.

tier 1
tier 2
tier 3 ect.

IE; If you have over a 730 You get tier 1 and so on.
Ask your dealer where the cut off is on each tier.
Know your score...Know what interest rate you should be priced at in this market.
