adaptive headlight ALC controller
Guys, need your help.
my 1er doesn't come with the xenon, so I bought pair of the adaptive headlights and it's retrofit kits. after installed both sensors, lamps, it failed to detect the "adaptive module" However, all functions like bi-xenon etc are fine. I searched realoem found there is also 2 electronic ALC box for the adaptive lamp. do you really need those? and where do they fit to? thanks in advance. |

So... do your xeon lights come on and work? Do they turn with the steering wheel when you have the headlight switch in "auto" mode>? Do they "level' when you turn the headlights on - at first time. ???

The INSIDE lamp will not turn. Its the outer lens, the Xeon that turns when the headlight switch is in the "auto" position (all the way to the LEFT CC). When you turn left or right... those inner lens - should light up - they are kind of a conrering lamp. When you engage reverse they should also light up, and the AHL headlamps with lock into the straight ahead position. When you go into D or our of reverse on a 6MT, the headlights go back to AHL mode (ie they turn with the steering wheel inputs). non AHL... AHL lights... Dackel |

Well... I am not expert but... I suspect you need the 2 electronic ALC boxes. I think they are also referred to as "footwell modules"(FW3 or something like that). I think you also need to code those to the car.
