But there is nothing to disagree with. They have poor quality control. I never said that all of their wheels are bad but they do let bad ones through. Many people have had cracked Breytons over the years. You can look all of this up. |

A highly over looked wheel are the Forgestar f14's. They're extremely light and I track with them a lot. Gotten nothing but compliments on my wheels and 18lbs a wheel are extremely light for an 18" wheel. I have mine wrapped in PSS's. Sorry for the crappy photo but you get the idea.

A quick Review will be highly appreciated, steering response, does it communicate way better than stock ? do you really feel the difference due to the unsprung weight on bumps and braking etc,,?? Plus if you could share your setup : Offset , Semi concave or deep concave etc,,, and the tire size Cheers!

(trust me, I love the show I have a million of these) Quote:
Sorry I kind of made this whole thread pretty off-topic. So yeah. Lightweight wheels. Woooo Forgestars are nice. And not much more expensive than Breytons. If anyone's worried about Breyton quality (which I still maintain they shouldn't be), Forgestars are a nice choice and only a small step up in price.

They 18 x 8.5 and a 9.5 rear; et 46 and et56 (best remembered); they have a bit of concavity to them, more than the apex's i've seen in person, but less than anything you can run on a 3 series. I run a 225/255 setup although i could go a 235 up front and 275 rear. On a stock setup i had no rubbing issues at all. Now i'm lowered on kw v2's and running -2.5 in the front -1.5 in the rear and still no issues. I track the car a bunch and they've with stood the abuse with no issues.
Performance wise its hard to tell on the butt meter. You will however notice immediately that steering is much lighter (in a good way) and combined with the m3 lca's communicates very well. You'll notice a massive difference in weight from stocks with rft's to these with pss's when swapping them out...i want to say about 15lbs a wheels. If i remember right, every pound of unsprung weight you remove is equal to 4lbs of sprung weight.

actually in the case of wheels and tires it's rotating mass which if remember correctly it's like 10 to 1
