I always wanted the 229. Walther make a neat little 9mm. Glocks are of course an option, but I'm not a fan of the way they chose to implement their version of a "safety". I think my favor home defense weapon is my Rem. 1100 with its skeet barrel. |

Zendriver, you got it all wrong, the shorty 5.56 is only for clearing out the people in front of the E90 when one is haul ass down the back alley way. The big boy is waiting on the exit end with the 50's |

- USMC is still using the M16A4 while Big Army has gone almost all M4 (for many units). More velocity out of the M16's longer bbl and therefor, better effective range. - USMC are generally better shots then Big Army (not to insult any Army here, but shooting is a religion with the Marines where as it is a check-box FITREP line item for Soldiers). CNS shots are CNS shots. Hit Haji in the head and he's going down. Quote:

For real small-form-factor stopping power why not the FN Five-seveN? Able to shoot up to 20 5.7x28mm rounds that are capable of penetrating the US Army PASGT Kevlar Vest at a range of 300m and a CRISAT Titanium/Kevlar Vest at 100m.
Unfortunately it's only available to government/military or law enforcement personnel.
