Last Minute Change!
Hey Guys..
I got everything on the 330 except for the PP package - instead I got black leatherette....my car is on order..hasnt been submitted for production just yet...I am rethinking whether I should get it? The only thing that ordered from it was the Blue Tooth/BMW Assist... I kinda like the leather but it's not a must, I like the digital compass and universal remote and the mirrors...but they are not deal breakers.. Please help with your opinions! thx marven

I just had a loaner X3 with leatherette and it looked like crap. Kind of like bumpy rubber. My e90 has the premium package and it is worth every penny, especially if you have a bluetooth phone.

I didn't get premium. I got leather, heated and power seats, so the compass and auto dimming mirror didn't seem worth it. I guess the bluetooth is pretty cool, but you've got to have a blue tooth phone. What happens if a new technology comes out and replaces bluetooth (not saying its going to happen just hypothetical) and you can't get a bluetooth phone in a few years?
If you really like the mirror, check the accessories brochure. You can get the dimming mirror and compass as a dealer accessory. |

Yeah, I would get PP if I was in your position. Helps the resale value too plus you won't regret not getting it after you take delivery of your car and its too late. MMmm........Leather

Even if you decide not to get the premium package, get the leather seats and power seats. The bluetooth is only good if you have a supported bluetooth phone. The auto dimming mirror is very nice, but not a necessity. I would definitely do something about the leatherette though. You shouldn't settle for such a crappy interior in such an expensive car.

I was in a similar position and decided I'd rather pay 750 for bluetooth and have leatherette (which I'd had before and is just fine, people can't tell, and I get just as sweaty on leather anyways)
than 2 grand for premium pack who needs power seats? auto dim mirrors aren't that bad ass the leatherette is only a "crappy interior" if you're a snob |

Get Bluetooth for sure if you don't get the full PP. Especially since you are getting iDrive, seeing all your phone contacts on that screen is great.

I just had a 325i as a loaner the other day w/ leatherette.
If you want to skip pp, I highly recommend you get the leather seats at the very least. IMO, leatherette seats look very blah and make the interior look cheap. On the other hand, they are a bit softer. |

If you want leather, go for it, it's just a little bit of a premium. If you are ok with the leatherette or prefer the leatherette I don't find it a lost not having Premium Package

If memory serves me right, the Premium Package on a 330i is cheaper than it is on a 325i.

I don't know but the sales person was the one that put me on leatherette. It says a lot when the dealer itself tells you that the leather isn't worth it.
But if you like leather shit, go for it!! Good luck!!!
