Help with idrive not reading Iphone

You guys I need some quick help

When ever I hook up my iPhone with the USB on the idrive it says not supported


what can I do?

It says reading and then it say not supported

My car is a 2011 but my idrive doesn't give me an option to update the software like my f30

Try restarting your phone after you've connected it for the first time(which it sounds like you already did)
I had to the first time I connected my phone via USB.

Also, make sure you are using the port under the armrest not glovebox.

Finally, check settings on your phone to ensure that Bluetooth is turned on.

won't work and my car doesn't have blue tooth to play music

I have to connect it either to the aux or the usb

The aux works but not the usb

And yes I am using the one under the arm rest

It's not going to work. You need the combox (Enhanced Bluetooth) to be able to plug the phone in via USB or to stream music via Bluetooth.

My aux works tho if I connect to aux it works

But if I connect via USB it won't work

I don't mind the cable because meanwhile I listen to music it charges my phone

Like on my f30


I connect via the usb and it charges and it plays my music


But with this one it tells me is not supported
