Gasoline Octane Rating - What do you use?

I did look on the Briggs and Stratton website, by the way, and sent the lovely one a link to a recommendation of 87 octane for all their engines. They noted the inherently low compression ratio of their L head engines (for anybody who doesn't know, an L head has the valves in the block so the combustion chamber extends over both the piston and the valves. Making them at high compression would involve too tight a tolerance of the piston to the head).

I thought I remembered reading that. So that's what I use in all my power equipment. Along with synthetic oil.
