my cheap Widebody - 1M front build

Hello guys,

Instagram is @1cholic

I have been in this community around 1 year. I bought this car from a member. Let me tell you this, i love this car since the day 1 because it is the only car i enjoyed and did not feel stressful at all. I owned a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and it was lifted but the car being broken and giving me headaches all the time, later i sold it.

After selling the Jeep, i bought my 2010 135i n54 From for sell section. It was located 3hrs from my house. Surprisingly the car ran good, and the body had small dings and stuff and it was also lowered, but it was in great shape with a great price, and i couldnt resist

The car is in this condition, the ac did not work, splitter is sticked to the front bumper, the door has dings and a little other misc. stuff.

I quickly start adopting to the car and loved it every day. i did get into the little accident but it made me change my intercooler, new hoses and ac condenser.

Over the summer I start thinking about 1m conversion since i had the broken front bumper and belly pan, but before that i bought me some cheap wheels that are also from a forum member that he used on his m3

Before this i bought radar, and blacklines that i fell in love with.

1m parts were fortunately a steal from ecs tuning because they had to restock their warehouse and were trying to get rid off the leftovers stuff. It was a steal !

I also custom painted my headlights and gave them some look. The inner rings are also soldered to show some good look.

I also bought this shifter and e brake from a member, they are great upgrade for the interior

A one of a kind day at the job

Well over the time, I had very bad experience with car as i developed boost leak and the my wheels were cracked. The car gave me misfires and control arms were shot. Luckily, I changed my control arms to m3 and also got a m3 diff, subframe, pcv valve, red hoses upgrade, o2 sensor. These are next up in my list to solve my boost leak and may be a better tune that is compatible with jb4 later. MHD

For the wheel problem, i bought new wheels and they are so far the favorite ones I've got. ESR 19" 9.5 and 10.5 et22.

It makes the car look so mean and makes the setup so aggressive, i cut the rear and i do not regret it. My side skirt is still process since one of the members offered me a hybrid side skirt that has 1m front extension and 135i rear part.

Well the real good part and the biggest smile i got from the car was spending 100$ for universal fender flares from EBAY 4" and putting it into my car

yeah i know the side skirt looks terrible but its still a process and this is how my car currently is.

Currently the car has,
-Broadway static coilovers, m3 front control arms
-Chargepipe with ebial bov, dci air intake filters, mishimoto fmic, ngk sparks, jb4,
-cpe downpipe, berk mid resonators, berk straight axle back
- 335is/550i clutch upgrade

I respect everybody who reads my build or thread. I will not respond to anybody that asks me what fenders are these because i already mentioned it on the thread and i dont think its fair to the people who read my post as well. I hope you enjoyed it and i am ready for comments and questions about how i did what i did or any others. Thanks a lot

I think it looks not bad at all. But rear wheels offset seem a bit too much even with the flares. I think it is possible to use a heat gun and "re shape" the shirt to have it line up better with the fenders. And I think if you can add a spirtter to the skirts, it will flow better to the rear flares. I know not everyone like the style/look. But I love it when ppl try new things. Good work!

You know, not a huge fan of rivet on fenders, but I can appreciate this for what it is. It honestly doesn't look bad. Front looks great of course. So props for what you've done! What was your solution for the rear fender liners?

If I can suggest something, raise the car up about 1/4-1/2" overall. Take measurements front and rear and make sure you're at an appropriate front-rear ratio, it'll help with grip.

hey man thx a lot, no fender liners, i honestly just put them on and love them so far but i am deffinetely going to blend them in, because first they are not same color second the rivets is no good.

My recommendation for the side skirts, is to use a heat gun to reform the front of them. Slonik did it in his build and it turned out good.

I met with the nicest guy with his beautiful car, well, of course, we took advantage of it and we took some pics together.
@wide_vert @1cholic

Next up, I did find m3 lip but it was wrecked and the lip is cracked also. So I bought it for 60$ and start fixing it. Initially I did fix it and paint it but it cracked because too low, and now I am in progress of making it carbonfiber

Fixed

painting it with jet black paint

It was cracked after using it for 2 hours. Now I am doing it carbon fiber.

Painted my wheels to orange color. Placed an order for knuckle that goes into m3 diff for my rear end swap. I gathered all the parts including, sub, diff, driveshaft, camber arms, axles, oil, and more. I am also switching to mhd tune backend with jb because getting boost leak crazy and changed all the possible lines. Upgrading pcv to rb one.

[IMG][/IMG]

Also worked on my carbon fiber trunk. It is not perfect because it was my first time doing carbon fiber and I'm not planing to keep the cf look. And I am gonna paint it to match with the car.

Is the trunk actually made from CF or just wrapped/laminated in CF?

Kinda "hacky" in lining up the body panels/fender flare. I think you are trying to do too much at once. Slow down and get things right then move to the next project.
