Insurance at the track (Ontario)
I'm planning to take my car to Shannonville, ON next month for one last track day of the season. My auto insurance company has said they won't insure my car while on the track.
Anyone know what some of the alternative insurance options that people use? I just basically need a day's worth of coverage. |

I "think" some tracks have insurance companies who will insure,
but I don't believe any usual ins. company will ever insures you for tracking, part of the ontario insurance statutory forms (ON1 ? I think) says you will not take part in racing, time trials etc. Insuring for essential racing on a track is WAY too high a risk for any company, how much would you be willing to spend on a premium? |

Is it a HPDE session? If so you are covered under Ontario insurance, good luck with your premiums if you do make a claim. You'll have to fight for it but I know a number of people that have a crash at the track covered.
I'll be honest if its your '08 128i that you are taking it wouldn't be worth making a claim, that's a maybe $15k car. |
