My car has docked! Excellent
This was sunday week ago--1 week + ago.
Still hasnt actually reached showroom floor!

the long wait is killing me when it is almost in my grasps
iT SEEMs so long ago when I bought it/ordered it---30th June.

Hoping I get it friday or saturday...but dealer rep is hopeful,but it maybe not till next week!!

more than the apparent < 10 day turnaround!

These dealers don't seem to get the pain of waiting as they really are no help in keeping us up to date. Since I ordered my car back in June, the only contact with my dealer is what I have made. But I guess we are just another number in the system for them.

I'm on my knees everyday hoping the car will be ready this Friday or Saturday, I can barely do another day as I know its so close now.

It is better to be clearing up quick on Sunday. I am fucking riding around the bay in a day Sunday dawn.

I think it will clear up quick Saturday anyway. Monday meant to be a fine day.

BOM forecasted rain and shower today. I managed to do a 3 hour ride midday and have gained a nice tan.

@ Richard. Hang in there. It is not there fault. As I said and they explained that they can't do anything about the pricks at PrixCars (pre delivery facility - every cars in Melbourne go through that before the car reaches any dealers). I can check the VIN number in 2 seconds and the car itself in 45 minutes and they take 10 days to do it. Quit that smoko I will say! We pay you not to slack off!

@ Taymaishu. You need more determination. But yeah I have less motivation riding in Sydney. Was not impressed with training when I was up there doing Sydney to Gong for charity.

I've been keeping a low profile on here as I found it made the waiting worse...

I ordered mine on 4 July, it was built in August, the ship (Tirranna) sailed on 30 August and arrived in Auckland on Saturday. Cleared customs, MAF inspection etc. yesterday and arrived at dealers this morning. I dropped by this afternoon to have a quick look that all was as specified and collect it on Friday

My sales rep is bloody sick at BMW Southbank!
Spoke to someone else there and my car is still going thru all the bullshit at customs etc. He assumes my car will be at dealer early next week!

I got a call from Southbank BMW today. The latest will be Tuesday morning delivery but they're going to try for Monday as I got the day.

The day has finally arrived after almost 4 months of painful waiting and driving around in my dd ('96 Honda Civic VTi).

It's now 7 hours to go before I finally get my 1er....oh the joy...

The past few weeks have been alot easier thanks to my wonderful new girlfriend....should I start a thank you and dedication roll call here as I feel so good about this day.

Well now just hoping for the weather to fine up so I can atleast drive the 1er home without too much road grit and rain.
