so are you gonna try the PBX tune?! then that would be the ultimate 128i.

and so what's the power loss on the dyno, 15%?

Yes, I would defiantly want to get the power box.
I am going to get it after I take the car in for its first service I will redyno and post the numbers again

As for the power loss I am not 100% sure, its different on every car and every dyno. But i think its close to 15%.

I can ask my tuner see what he says.

135i bumper

Installed a 135i bumper on the car this month... Installation was pretty straight forward. Although 3 of screws at the bottom of the bumper did not align. Other than that everything was a straight bolt on.

There are 7 holes at the bottom of the bumper, 3 middle ones simply did not align to the holes on the bottom of the car.

Let me know how your install goes

Nice! I wonder how mine compares with the BMW perf intake and exhaust. I really should put it on a dyno.

It would be nice to see
but it would be hard to compare, simply because every dyno will give you different results.

my tuner put together this video to show the difference between the dynojet dyno and the dynapack dyno (which I used)

any problems with back pressure with your exhaust system? i had a muffler delete on my 1er about 5 months ago, i took it off because i felt that i lossed lots of torque in the lower end, but wasn't too loud because i kept the resonators.

You can check the before and after dyno sheets to see the difference at WOT. Personally I don't feel any "loss of back pressure". Considering that the exhuast first has to pass through the 2 cats on the headers and through the stock muffler I doubt there will be any "loss of back pressure". But if you have any concern check the dyno sheets.

I just need to wait for my first service
After my first service PBX and back on the dyno I go. Unfortunately it will probably be mid-late summer

Does your first dyno say the test was done stock with "0w30 synthetic" ? Is this for real?

Yes.

BMW tend to use "thinner" oil, so 0w30 to my understanding isn't a bad thing, however in saying that I wouldn't just put any old 0w30. I use Amsoil signature Series 0W-30. If anyone (in the Toronto area) wants I can get it for them, I have the dealer’s license from Amsoil, currently I have been using it only for myself and a few buddies of mine.

Also, I don't have the headlight washer caps yet, would those be easy to adhesive on with the bumper installed?
I still didn't get the part for the bottom. It was shipping 2 days ago, I should be getting it soon. Right now there is nothing in the middle, however i dont think its anything you should be worrying too much about considering there is about 16 other screws and 4 clips that line up just fine I will still wait for that other part and install it though, i personally dont like missing screws lol

The headlight washer caps i just glued on actually, with some very strong glue... so far so good

Dont know the part number actually, when i get it (Friday or Monday) I try to see if i can find out.

The caps are a bit tricky simply because they are straight and the bumper is curved... so getting a good contact patch is hard... But i am sure you will manage. I suggest gluing it on, then tape it in place while the glue dries.
Let me know how it goes! fellow 128errr lol
