LSD for 130i

Hi guys,

What are our options in Sydney for an LSD, and how much would it cost fitted?

Also has anybody done it? Is it worth the money?

Since i'm asking so many questions, whats the meaning of life?

Joe

Andrew at SouthernBM in Melbourne would be the best person to speak with.

Depending on your build date and VIN number will determine cost i.e. bolt in or weld in.

Quaife seems to be the only sane priced option, lots of places can fit one for you, southern BM is the Australian distributor where you can buy one.

If you drive the car as its maker intended then diff is definitely worth the money. In the day to day driving you can feel it working it's magic in the wet, taking off T-intersections, or exiting corners/roundabouts enthusiastically.
Meaning of life will be answered once you fit the diff and take the car for a spirited drive for the first time.

Happy to let you drive my car if we ever meet on one of the forum organized cruises so you can see for yourself if it is worth doing.

Speak to Derek @ European Autotech in Mona Vale (9979 4484). He's done a quite a few LSD upgrades on cars. Pretty sure he uses quaife in the BMW's.
