Why is there "speculation"..?
BMW themselves over a month ago said the 128i will be offered under $30k and the 135i will start in the mid $30's. So, who cares if it starts @ $34k or $36k ..? If you poeple are worried about that, then your on the wrong messege board to begin with. -Garrett |

So has the "Suicide Watch" started yet?
I find it interesting that as we approach the actual release date for pricing that the mag guestimates are climbing from the low 30s to the high 30s. It looks like they may have been overly optimistic with their initial guesses. I have a feeling that we are in for a little sticker shock and unfortunately quite a few are in not in the right state of mind to deal with the bad news. Hang tight... this ride is about to get ugly. |

Yup... b/c an argument isn't a discussion involving different points of views.:iono:

Why a car magazine is an idiot when it guesses the price too high? I do not like it from expectation's viewpoint, but it is what it is when the price comes out. I remember one of them had guessed Audi A3 3.2 (6-cylinger) Quattro around $25k and it was off by ONLY $10K, yeah! That sounds more an idiot to me.

Car magazines/auto journalists generally don't get pricing information until right before the company wants it released (and that's generally right after the knock down, drag out pricing meetings that companies go through). I hope we get pricing on Nov 16th (when the configurator goes online) and you can pretty much bet that the buff books will get it at the same time as we get it. This group tends to find all things 1er in record time. ; -)
