Audi SQ5

Hi guys,

Seriously considering trading the wife's Gti for one of these. Thoughts? Anyone driven one? Only negative I've heard is handling (compared to the x3 and x5) and resale... Other than that looks like a performance bargain with room for the kids

They let me sit in one... And play with the exhaust sound lever..

Well finished interior... And resale? Haven't seen any come up yet but if the drop like a 7 series I might have to look again...

I'm looking at one too, have driven a 2.0t with the full s-line kit, and quality is much much nicer than the X3. Probably putting an order in in the next few days

The regular Q5 3L diesel is around that price, SQ5 has more power though so that justifies the price premium?

I understand that the SQ5 is much more superior in performance but is it worth that much more?? I guess it's like everything else? is the RS worth alot more than the S models? ie S4 vs RS4. What I heard is that the ride is hard and crashy on the SQ5

Our optioned x3 was about $103k before negotiation. The Q5 was line ball the same. When you compare the options to the sq5 there is not a huge difference. Comparatively good value on the face of it. I guess a big factor will be they are unlikely to negotiate as much.

Shame they weren't around a year ago, bigger shame there is no x3 40d.

I spent 24hrs with the press car in Sydney recently - very very impressed! Really nothing I can think of to fault it.

Sound might not matter to most people, but this was the best sounding diesel I've ever heard.

It was the front/centre differentials not transferring power to the relevant wheels when it should have, no tyre slip involved... Epic Quattro fail.
