Adjustable lumbar support
I'm a bit confused by the logic behind the adjustable lumbar support on my '13 128i vert with premium package.
The manual's description makes me expect it to work the way I've seen adjustable lumbar support work in other cars; forward and rear arrows causes the lumbar support to extend and retract while the up and down arrows cause it to raise or lower. The forward and rear buttons work as expected, but the up/down buttons don't just reposition the height of the support, they also extend it. So if you want to just raise the support you need to push the up button which both raise the position of support and extends the support, then the rear button to retract the support (because I just wanted to raise it, not extend it). Same with lowering, it also extends the support so that you need to retract after lowering. So, contrary to the manual's description and other adjustable lumbar supports I've experienced, the up/down buttons don't just reposition, but also extend the support. Is this the way other 128's work? |

Yes
(same for all 1er's, not just the 128)
