Cool bit of information. In pics the E92 M3's roofline looks much lower than the roofline of the 1M but according to this, they're not that far apart. Must have been the angle of the pics. I also wish the 1M had the weight of the E30. Now that'd be a true homage to the legendary E30 M3.

It is because of the rake and the additional 10" in length with the M3 that makes it look lower. The width is the same but most importantly the 1M is 342lbs lighter.
