Unhappy A Horrible Surprise - Need Advice

So I went to a concert the other night and after it was over, I drove home and noticed something horrible about my car. Someone hit my rear bumper.. not once, but TWICE. One giant dent and another scratch on the other side. I'm super pissed but also don't know what I should do about it.

I could claim insurance to take care of it but out here in Dubai - I'll need to go to the police station to file a report first and get a peace of paper that allows me to use my insurance company to take care of it. I can either do that - or get a different bumper as I wasn't really thrilled about the stock one it came with. That's where I would like to get some feedback from you guys. Should I opt out for a super cool rear bumper and if so, what would you guys recommend. Keep in mind I have parking sensors but I guess that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

What would you guys do if you were in my shoes?

As far as I know, there isn't much choice in the rears except for doing a 1M rear conversion. Goodluck to you.

You could always switch to the m-sport rear bumper like those found on the 135i and add a carbon fiber diffusor. Sorry about your misfortune.

Other than the OEM option of going for either a full 1M rear conversion or an M-Sport rear bumper there are 1M replicas that do not require any other additional modification. Kerscher make 1m front and rear bumpers, though they're made of fiberglass and not PU. They also make their own style aftermarket front and rear bumpers so you could also look at that.

Never park your car or leave it alone at a concert... I don't even like parking lots, tbh. BMW's are like magnets for bad drivers in an open parking lot.

You are 200% right. I will never do it again. Just an update for you guys: I got a quote to repair the dent for 410$. It sounds a lot cheaper than I thought, what do you guys think?

They would have to heat up the plastic, bend it back to shape and respray the bumper.
