Can I just say that after watching two group buys that lasted forever, and seeing the sentiments in those threads:

"Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this…

and totally redeem yourself!"

That trunk lid looks great!

Like I said, no more mistakes. They are up, running, and will get products to us on time as they will be produced. I think you guys just stole the entire 1er market in body parts.

Next I would like to see
1. Hood
2. Cf fenders (wide) so I can run 10' wheels up front
3. interior cf parts
4. seat backs
5. already have this but a cf intake would be cool.

Keep up the great work and get us some pictures!

I'd like to find another CF sunroof replacement. Someone had one a year or so ago, discontinued now I think. That would reduce weight where we need it.

I never thought of doing the seat backs, do those even come off? CF seat backs would look awesome.

I really like this new trunk, aggressive is what I want. I think the 135i could always look a little meaner.

Sorry..but I dont quite understand the CF craze you all are going for with this car that already comes to you with near perfect weight distribution..

You realize that adding all this CF shit all over the car completely offsets that weight ratio, and is a complete waste of money

Id actually rather just have a spoiler than a whole new CF trunk cuz im sure the thing will cost upwards of $1500 atleast for something that def doesnt need replacement..vs $250 for a sweet lookin spoiler, keeping the weight just what it is supposed to be.

Just my opinion..but its like anytime CF is mentioned so many people go fuckin nuts over it, like lets just wrap our entire car with CF, spend thousands more on it and end up with ...what?

Its not the fact that its CF...its the fact that its a high qulity CSL style duck tail trunk.

I know what it is..but you see what im getting at? Seems a good bit over the top.

Im all for cosmetic reinvention with cars, even this one. But you buy the car knowing you love it for everything on the inside and out. And then u go and completely reinvent the car with completely diff materials that basically completely change the car you fell in love with..all at the mere cost of many thousands.

Ill change up a blinker to a smoked one, or diff color roundels or a matte black grill instead of chrome, but this is too much for meh. You guys enjoy.

Well this is for people who already have a lot done to their car. Once you catch the modding bug you will understand.

What the draw for me is to make a unique car even more unusual. So many people have 3's, 6's, etc.

I have yet to see a well done 1er around where I am and with a good hood/trunk along with the wheels and a good drop (400rwhp+ too) I can make my car look better and perform better than any other car on the road. Imo that is but the performance is not disputable unless you bring a monster.

I am not a fan of the way cf looks which is why mine will end up painted but lighter is faster regardless of the weight distribution.

what are you babbling on about? lol dude its like a 15 pound difference between the stock piece - i think the weight distribution will be OK like that. better not upgrade to a lightweight battery or your 135 will be so light it will literally take flight at 88mph! adding a cf trunk does not 'reinvent the car', nor does it come anywhere close to 'completely changing the car i fell in love with'. putting a couple bags of groceries in the trunk would have a bigger effect on the handling. nobody is buying carbon fiber for the weight savings, they are doing it for the looks.

its funny because i would never smoke my blinkers or change my roundel colors, but a painted CSL style trunk i would definitely do.
