I think I am more stunned that this was done outside on a gravel surface. WOW!

So you basically removed the whole shroud? How long did it take you to install?

My local BMW mechanic is also a childhood friend so I went up to his place and did the install there. It took 1 hour and the install was very straight forward.
But there where one little compatibility problem...
My 2012 1M has a different OEM charge pipe than the 135/335 N54.
If you look at part number 18 in this picture:

You see that the lower charge pipe is made out of two 90 degree pipes.

But the one on my car looks like this:

I solved it by cutting down the included silicone hose to one little straight bit. I then took that bit and used it to connect the charge pipe to the IC.
This is a temporary solution until I have bought a new charge pipe.

The VRSF 7" IC can be ordered with factory-like connectors for 25$ extra so this doesn't have to be a problem and you can of course change the charge pipe to one that is not crappy plastic

No cutting of the bumper, its only the cutting that you see when comparing picture 1 and 2.

Curious why'd you take the front bumper off? I didn't remove mine, just came at it from below. It looks like romving it might make things easier with it removed though. Was it a pain to get the bumper off?

You could really tell a difference seat of the pants once installed? I didn't notice any change. Was hoping so but honestly couldn't tell any difference.
