ABS warning, error code CC-ID 354
I took my car in for servicing a month ago and about a week ago, I started getting an ABS and Driver Stability error through the iDrive. When I check thru the computer, it says CC-ID 354.
The ABS warning comes on for anywhere from 10 secs to 5 mins and then just goes away. Any idea what this code means and could it be that they did a bad job bleeding the brakes when they flushed them? Thanks, Tony

So, on each wheel there is a senser. Well, it’s actually behind the knuckle/knee.
If you remove the wheel and look behind the strut against the wheel well you’ll see a plastic box. Two wires coming out of it. One leads to your break pads and the other leads to your ABS senser. Remove it with small Allen wrench and you can see it may have damage on the end from rubbing. Simply put a washer in between and reattach the senser. This is a quick fix until you can have it properly repaired by a technician. |
