First year sales targets?

Anyone know BMWs first year sales targets for the 128i and 135i off hand?

All models (coupes and convertibles) are slated to be around 10K in the US. Don't know what the targets for '09 are. Suspect maybe double. They're trying to position the 1er as a niche vehicle from the looks of it.

I thought I read that there were 1500 sold at launch.

it's probably more of a limit than a target, at least for the US. they are getting eaten by exchange rates, and a wide open flow of low-margin cars would be a negative for the corporate bottom line.

i'd guess that allocations will remain very tight for at least a couple of years until exchange rates improve.
