Am i missing something from my engine bay??
Hi Guys
i have had my car with BMW service three times now since i've had it (7 months 10,000km) because of a ticking noise in the morning.... they have changed - lifters - cylinder head and they have had BMW Australia's service manager come and listen to it too?? but still not fixed.... still makes a noise..... I just go it back the other day and noticed this ..... am i missing something ?? i drive a 125i coupe sport MT ..... My dad drives a 325i coupe sport auto and he has some small bottle attached ???? im a little worried right now

It looks a LOT like a fuel pump (obviously not a fuel pump but really does look like one). It is in the exact same position than in a WRX too, as i remember having to unplug my fuel lines when doing some mods a few years ago and having to plug the pump as well.
Very interesting, i'd call them and ask, or send an email with pics. |

ncutinelli - that thing you circle in your picture is in fact the PS fluid resivior.
In the link I postes it shows some sort of retriangluar plastic cover. I have never seen that before. Why not just use a flash light and poke around under your hood some? Can you see that PS resivior hanging and flopping around? :") Btw... on my 135i the PS res is located behind the drivers headlight area. This would be covered up by your intake/filter. |

Looks like the power steering fluid container... Maybe it is in a different position with different year models? As someone mentioned in the 135i it is located behind the passenger side headlight.

All of the 135i drivers are thinking it, so I may as well say it. Your car is missing this:
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
