Coding the 135i

Does anyone know of someone in Melbourne that can code the 1er? I did a search only hear of 'Luster' on the forums however he is in Sydney and was last active in 2012

Currently looking at getting the following done:

- Disable iDrive start up legal disclaimer
- Enable M digital speedometer (non-M cars) with option of Actual Speed
- Sunroof Closes when Rain-sensor detects rain
- Alarm chirp on/off
- Unlock all doors when you remove the key
- Windscreen wiper return to home position after engine off

Hoping is possible:
- Enable automatic wipers by default

am wondering if that's actually possible

the auto wipers suck as is when you manually turn them on

i could see them wiping if it gets the wrong spec of dust on it lol

Theres a coding option that allows you to hold the start button for 1 sec (not just a press) when shutting the car down and it will pop the key, stop the car and unlock all doors, saves you having to "press" the key to remove.

Assuming you dont have comfort access....

I just purchased a wifi ODBII for my 135i... Is it really that easy to change things as I am trying to figure it all out.. Where the hell do you start?

Cheers

Ummm, once you have a comm cable thats just the beginning, theres heaps of reading to do on the programs and how to use them. Im not sure how you will go with a Wifi OBD2. NSCExper is an old program that can code our cars, but im not sure if its compatible with a Wifi OBD2. If you set it up on a comm port you should be ok.

Head over to bmw coding and start reading. Theres a few beginner guides, its pretty full on but once you start playing it all makes sense. If you cant be bothered and just pay for the coding to be done.

i bought a $10 bluetooth obdII adapter and the BMWhat app for android. Bit pricey the app, but lets you do pretty much all of the above without having to figure out WinKFP or NCSExpert

Looks like you can get BMWhat on iOS devices as well for $56.99. Just to confirm, it's made by "iViNi-apps"?

I already have a bluetooth OBDII dongle by GoPoint so maybe I'll buy this app and see what I can code.

Garage List
Make sure you download BMWhat lite before paying for the app, as my wifi ELM327 could not code a few of the available modules.

And iOS must use a wifi connection, not a bluetooth cable

I bought the cable and have done some of the things you are after today.

Pretty straight forward however a lot of reading and understanding the process is important. Also don't bother with cheap Ebay cables they just don't work.
http://www.one-stop-electronics.com/...&product_id=16 is the most recommended cable for coding.

If you are computer literate I can hook you up with a copy the Virtual Machine I have setup with all the tools installed
