Best tires in Sydney

Chaps - anyone got any info on who has the cheapest tires at the moment in Sydney?

Looking for Michelin SS.

cheapest will be tempe tyres. I dont rate them though.

Temp Tyres or the Michelins?

Tempe Tyres will have the cheapest tyres, but i dont rate their workshop. I went in for one new tyre for my 4x4. 24" tyre was $250... once it was on the ramp they said i needed a second tyre. I asked that they show me what was wrong : nothing was wrong, just trying to scam for another $250. I then drove 150KM to a car show with the steering wheel vibrating as they hadn't balanced it properly. Took it to a mate tyre shop down in Albion Park near the car show and got it sorted.

never used them, but my mate's mate owns eagle tyres. he recons theyre good. i like goodspanner in brookvale. depends where you are

tempe has super cheap tires for many models/brands, have been told they may be grey market though?

never seen their workshop since i'm BNE though..

Michelin has apparently dropped prices in Oz. I was quoted same cost for PSS by Jax as it cost me to ship them from US... around $450 each

The NEW M135 uses PSS so perhaps this is why??

Also has anyone tried COSTCO? I saw they had PS3's there so wondering if they are an option. Only saw URVANS in the fitting bay so maybe no high end stuff.

Re GoodSpanner Brookvale - had my TireRack PSS's fitted there. They charged me $65 cash for 2 then an extra $10ea because my rears were hard to get off and they lubed the rusty hub. Cash only and advised my RIM's were only for RFT's so I was on my own if the tyres came off.....and the balance is slightly off at F/WAY speeds

Re Costco, we fitted the wife's Golf GT TDI with a set of Mich PS3s (225/45x17 91W) for $219/cnr F&B. They have other sizes, I saw 235/40x18 for $239. I shopped around for these tyres, and they were by far the cheapest price I found

try stgeorge tyres, near tempe iirc good price and good service! if your worried about grey imports and dates just ask and they will tell you. they will offer you older ones on the cheap cheap if you dont mind but they have a fresh batch in atm.
