My E30 M3

hi guys,

wanted to show off my current pride and joy.
bought this after selling my E46 M3 little over a year ago.
My E46 M

and then came this (day i got it):

as the engine/underbody had spent 24 years accumulating dirt, I decided to spend some time on it in. here is the progress:

Finished product:

After i was done, I enjoyed the car for the next year, but one thing was missing....coming from a Supercharged 328i and E46 M3...i needed more powerrrrrrr.

So this came up:

And so the work began again....

couple of poorly made vids (not me driving)

All in all Im overly happy with the result! There is nothing that has been hacked or cut in the original chassis. I can simply spend the weekend taking one engine out and putting original engine in which was always the goal.

Superb. Good to see it clean and original. Glad it's also not a RHD version.

It's a good thing you performed the I6 swap if you plan to drive it some. Parts for the 4 cyl's are quite rare and $$$

you mean to put into the E30? honestly dont think id have the skills to do that....S50 swap is well documented so much easier to do. once i get bored of this, ill probably put S14 back in there and sell the car (or sell with S50 in there) and then go from there

I'd say the N54 would be way too much work, would be easier and probably just as effective to turbo the S50. Plus I like the fact that you can go back to stock and have a pristine M3.
Not looking for another car now but in the future when it comes time to sell keep me in mind.

You know the N54 is an ///M engine right? It's the 1M motor. The S50 is a great upgrade for the E30.
Sweet ride.

what are the WA road rules wrt lhd rego and the 30year rule?
in nsw, the car has to be over 30 years old to legally be registered as a lhd car, unless its on historic or club rego.
my 1970 ford mustang boss 302 fortunately falls within that category and i enjoy driving it, however, being on the left side is a chore when getting in and out of shopping centres, having to get tickets and what not

cars made before 1989 are ok to keep LHD as far as im aware. i got full licence here for the car. shame about you guys!

i think Victoria has the 25 year old rule yeah?

i know what you mean about being a chore, hence i avoid those situations including drive throughs haha
