New OEM Rotors/Pads ineffective
I recently had all 4 rotors and pads changed on my 2009 135i by the dealer. I also had the brake fluid flushed at that time. I have about 350 miles on the new brakes and I don't find the brakes to be as effective as they were when I bought the car. It doesn't seem to have the bite and the stopping distances are longer. They are soft and as 'good' as the brakes on my Toyota.
I spoke with the service advisor and he wants me to bring the car in and take a service mechanic on a test drive to show him the issues. I am not sure if I can really 'prove' them to be issues, given that the car still stops and the pedal feel is subjective. Has anyone has similar experiences? Are there any specific things that I should ask them to look into? Is there anything that can be adjusted to change how well the brake bites? The awesome brakes are one of my favorite features of the car and now I am bummed about them losing their magic. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

Maybe you need to do bleed your brakes a few more times. |
