Enkei Raijin
Anyone have the 18x8 Enkei Raijin's on their 1? 20lbs, $225. The offset is a little much at 42, but I was planning on putting F225/40, R245/35 tires on so they wouldn't be too wide. I'm not really a fan of the 'wheels pushed all the way out' look so I'd like to see a pic or two before I decide.
Thanks |

Looking for some photos of this on a 135i also. Does the spokes on these look like the ones on the 1M/M3 GTS or what? Essentially a light weight rotary forged, 7 double spokes (instead of 8) version of the 1M/M3 GTS wheel with 1 series fitment. But before pulling the trigger, really need to see some photos...
We got a rep here for these rims by any chance?

The wheels look good, not bad for $900 a set but rear tire fit is limited.

R: Enkei Raijin 18x8.5" - 5x120/38mm Good fit, I'd think. Rears would fit fine @ 10mm negative offset from stock. Probably aren't able to lower the suspension without rubbing (but few do other than Breytons or stock). Can also run 255's rear with an 8.5" wheel, but likely not with an 8". Bore diameter is 72.6mm - BMW spec. http://www.enkei.com/size_chart/raijin.pdf Last edited by fusion01; 04-29-2012 at 06:00 AM.. |

I ended up going with Apex Arc 8s. 18x8.5 ET45 square setup with 235 40 18s.
Couldn't be happier. Wheel is strong and light at 18.2lbs, and they look good. Price is great as well at just over a grand for the set. |

Nice choice
Fronts though @ 235 not an issue for you with this rim? I've taken a little paint off my inner front fenders with 8" ET38 front and 225's, yours in total extend further outwards by 4mm in comparison to mine (including tyres). And my tyre design has pretty rounded shoulders. |

Nope, no rubbing. Eddy at Apex was a great help, and said they have successfully fit 235 Star Specs (probably the widest 235 there is) on stock suspension with these wheels. Give him a call if you have any questions and he will take the time to answer your questions.
Car was stock when these pics were taken. I've since put Dinan plates on and set 1.5 deg negative camber.

Now that I am thinking. Does these rims look like the BBS GT4s / those new Apex rims, or what?

Sharp looking wheels. A friend of mine just put them on an A4 and they look fine. I have not seen the on the 1series yet.

Nice wheels ! I'd like to buy them, but I want to fit 225 front and 255 rear. I don't know much about wheels, and offset and all these things, so I was wondering what sizes I should get to fit and be able to put on these tires.
The available options are : 1. The same square 8 as skeeler but I'm not sure 255 would fit rear :P 2. 18x8.5 ET 38 3. 18x9.5 ET 35 I was considering getting 8.5 front and 9.5 rear, you guys think that would fit, any rubbing at the rear ? Thanks a lot for you help ! |
