You guys so I'm thinking of doing a full service on my car pretty soon

I'm thinking of doing the normal service and

Putting new plugs on there

The car is at 71k miles

it has jb4 and exhaust and DOWNPIPE

does the spark plugs need to be gapped or just slap them on the way they come on the box

General consensus is to gap down to .022 if you have a tune (jb4 included)

Second NGK gapped to 0.022

Qualify that: if you're at 17psi or greater (350-450whp). Otherwise, stick with stock/bosch plugs.

So either Bosch and ngk just gap then at .022

And well I? normally run map 1 on jb4 or map 5 and some times I? might run e85 but not so often

on my f30 I? have bad hiccups and misfires but I? have same exact mods and Bosch plugs and they are not gapped

So I? wanted to figure this out so I? can do the fix on both cars

Even if you don't change the gap from what the plugs should be at, I'd still verify that they are where they are supposed to be. I haven't had to deal with it in ~ 7 years now but I know for my older cars I put more miles on they were only right, or close enough to it, out of the box half the time. Often they were .005 - .010" off.

Right, you may want to also check your coils as well if you're getting misfires

Right, you may want to also check your coils as well if you're getting misfires
How can I? check that

The thing is that the misfires aren't to the point to get a check engine light or go to limp mode or none of that

There just like slight hiccups

From my experience it's just trial and error. It's easier if you do get a code to see which cylinder is misfiring then you can go from there. Try scanning your car for codes even though a CEL isn't coming on. I know pepboys can hook up a scanner to your OBD2 port and read codes for free if you ask. If it doesn't specify a particular cylinder then you can just experiment by swapping your coils to different positions and see if that fixes the issue

No codes at all I? scanned my car several times and I? scanned it right now

Only code I? get is the flap from my exhaust since I don't have it anymore

I? think ima just get ngk spark plugs one step colder gapped to .020 or .018

What do you guys think

For your e82, I would get ngk and gap them to .22. I installed oem 3 prong plugs and the only lasted 10k miles with a tune. definitely should get colder plugs if tuned.
