135i Lease ending...which SF Bay Area dealer best to take to?
My 2008 135i lease is ending 12/31 and i was wondering what Bay Area dealer is best to work with (and will hassle me least for wear and tear)? Anyone have positive experiences? It has a few blemishes but nothing serious. I am not buying a new one as just got a 1m elsewhere. Thanks!

stevens creek but they are appointment only i think. i haven't dealt with their lease department but their internet sales were fantastic, can't imagine that same attitude doesn't make its way into other departments.

If you're worried about wear and tear take the car in for a pre-inspection at a couple of places and see what they tell you.
From what I've heard you may not be better off taking the car to the dealer that sold it to you, as then it becomes a "Full Circle" scenario and they have an obligation to keep and sell the car. And if it's going to need reconditioning to be sold, my gut is they would have an incentive to pass as much of that cost back to you as they can. IIRC a dealer that didn't sell the car to begin with can choose to keep it or reject it and send it elsewhere (back to BMWFS, another dealer, or wholesale auction). There may be a CA on the Board who can offer more details. |

I like Peter Pan. I have leased and turned in there several times and have not had any problems. Good folks.

When I bought mine, Weatherford in Berkeley gave me the best deal out of 15 dealers within 75 miles of San Jose. They were really easy to work with. I've also heard they have the highest volume, so that might mean they can get away with smaller margins than the rest, which may make it easier for you to get a good deal with them.

Thanks! I bought it from Stevens Creek. I will plan to try them but if they are unreasonable, I might try somewhere else. Anyone takes it to more than 1 dealer to see if wear and tear cost different at each?
