Guide Me!

Hello all,
Caution! I am about to ask an age old question. I am going a bit crazy when it comes to choosing a coilover for the 135i. I have done research on suspension alone since I've gotten the car but every time I am on to something there is some weird issue with it. My main focus is to lower the car about 1.25in and try to keep as much comfort as possible while increasing performance. Ohlins look good but there doesn't seem to be any pictures installed and they don't seem to go low enough. Similar problem with the TC Clines. Most other systems I find seem to have quality issues? Help?

If you're only dropping it that much, I suggest eibach pros with koni fsd if you comfort, yellows if you want a sporty feel. Save yourself some money.

I'm pretty sure I could lower my D/A TCKs at least 2.5" if that is your goal. In fact, with the adjustable rears I'd be hard pressed to run stock ride height (i.e. they sit about .75" lower than stock at max ride height). I'm running Swift springs 350/700 and the ride is firm but better than stock. I never bottom out or feel any jarring bumps. Surprisingly the real improvement in comfort comes from the fact that the car no longer pitches back and forth under WOT and heavy braking. The car is so much more composed it's hard to put into words. Hope this helps.

As for the kw's those are def. an option. I had hp a coils on my r32 and they where basically kw's. Been thinking about the st over the v1 tho.

With the TC Klines I hears lot of different things. Mainly looking at the SA. I think the size of the swift springs probly have something to do with.

I am kind of on the fence with springs and shocks set up. I had a bad experience with a past car and I like the option of lowering more or less if needed. But the pics from others look good.

Look into GC. They have custom shorter front strut housings that allow you to go lower and still have comfortable car.

I'm running them and my car is pretty low.
