Painting front plate bracket
Hey guys,
I have a Titanium Silver 330, and I want to paint the awful black front plate bracket to match the body color. Any ideas on how to do this well. I did a search and didn't find anything. Why do you guys think BMW doesn't have it painted to begin with. My '01 325ci came with a pre-painted bracket. Even my brother's '06 525i has a matching bracket. |

Take the bracket to a local body shop and have them prime it and then paint it... As long as you find a good shop it should come out well and not cost much at all.

I agree with AW330i. Paint doesn't stick to plastic very well. There is some process by which pretreating plastic allows paint to stick better (for instance to ABS plastic).

Use a 5er Front Licence Holder?
5er cars have a painted front licence plate holder. For colors that are on both series (titanium silver being one) can you simply buy the 5er plate holder from parts and put it on? Can it be installed without modification? Anyone looked into this idea?

any good body shop should be able to do it. just make sure they use a flex agent and prep the plastic with an adhesion promoter.
